“Where the hell is the leftover $60,000?!”
These are the words that came out of my clients mouth when we unpacked their ‘Income vs Expenses’ for the first time.
When they listed out their income and their recurring expenses using my ‘Money Management Blueprint’, it showed they should have $60,000 leftover after recurring expenses each year to play with.
That’s a significant amount!
But they had nothing to show for it…
When we looked at their ‘Net Worth’ sheet, the $60,000 was nowhere to be seen.
So where had the surplus money gone?
It had been spent.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have a plan for their money.
So their money made plans of their own…
Understand this – it’s not the recurring expenses that kill you, it’s the VARIABLE expenses.
It’s the miscellaneous spending that adds up to huge amounts over the course of a year.
This is one of the reasons I get my clients to complete an ‘Income vs Expense Review’ at the end of each month.
And it’s also one of the reasons I created the 21 Day ‘Fix Your Finances’ Challenge.
To help you bring conscious awareness to your miscellaneous spending.
Do you know where your hard-earned dollars are going?
Big Love,
Marshy
